Scanning errors in Scan my Bills
When Scan my Bills cannot find a valid file type attached to the email, or there is no attachment, it will appear in Scanning errors and cannot be brought into your farm business.
Scan my Bills accepts PDF, JPEG and TIFF formats. If any other format is emailed, it will sit within Scanning errors. This also applies to corrupt files and emails without attachments.
What to do with Scanning errors
When there are documents with errors in Scan my Bills, the View scanning errors button will be available to select.
- Click on View scanning errors
Any documents with errors will appear in the list below and are identified by the following:
a) The invoice date
b) Why the document has been moved to Scanning errors
c) The sender
d) The name of the file attachment.
- Click on Delete scanning errors to remove all documents/emails from this box
When there are no scanning errors, the View scanning errors button is greyed out.
You will need to re-send the document, making sure it is in the correct format and that it is attached to the email.
